My concentration theme displays how mostly everything depends on something else. I plan to show the relationship between these things by taking pictures of mother and baby/child (the baby depending on the mother), feet and shoes, humans and telephones (or communication devices in general), a plant and water....etc. I plan to do this by comparing and contrasting and taking pictures in both color and black and white to portray different moods.
I looked at your chicken image before reading your description of it and interpreted as a reference to the age old question "What came first, the chicken or the egg?" :) I don't think the image reads as something humans are dependent on. I like it just as it is though. I think the changes you made to the shoe/foot image are successful. Your final diptych of the mother daughter communicates your ideas well. You know you can create a couple diptychs with the same idea. You had a lot of strong mother daughter images to pull from and could easily create another successful piece for your series. The horse imagery was interesting.
Ok, I will definately add some more photos of the mother and daughter to work with. And my over all theme is just broadly "dependency." I'm not exactly trying to connect it to humans only. I have an idea of taking pictures of train tracks and a train (the train depending on the track). I was also thinking gasoline and a car.
I love love love ! your photos (: very well taken, and the lighting is perfect. I just think that maybe you could of added more photos of the mother and baby. But besides that great job!
Your pictures are beautiful! I really like how different each picture is from the next but how they all represent the same theme. There were a couple pictures that were a little unclear but other than that, your concentration is great!
Your pictures are fantastic. I wouldn't change anything. Your editing is great, every picture has a reason to be there, there aren't any that I think are not as good as the others. They're wonderful.
Kayla I love your photos! I really like the syle that you have in your photography. The only thing I might change is boosting the contrast in the oven picture.
Your concentration is beautiful! The colors, contrast, and clarity in your images are great! You work really well with lighting to. As a critique I would maybe fiddle with the contrast on the electric pole image, but I think it would work either way. Your concentration looks perfect.
You have a great concentration series! All of your pictures connect, so you shouldn't change anything out. This could be intentional, but the chicken and egg diptych is slightly asymmetrical. I personally like it like this, but if it's not what you intended than the leg should be stretched farther left. Wonderful work :)
You have such a great concentration and very great ideas! All of your photos seem very editorial. Your food photos are particularly great, I want to eat everything! Even the raw egg...The only thing that I would change is to amp up the color on the hay so it looks more like hay than sticks. But this is really great!
These are really cool photos, great relationship ties. The only thing I would say is that I couldn't identify the horse at first. I thought it might be a dog or another animal. I agree with Isabella though, your food looks delicious. :] Good portfolio.
Your pictures are so strong!! The relationships between your pictures are so strong. I love the lighting in your pictures and the variety of them as well. Some of the pictures I was unsure of what the connection was and some pictures could be a little more clear in some spots. Other than that, great job!
Your pictures are all incredibly clear and the colors are so vibrant. I like the relationships you created, however, some required a little thought. I feel like maybe there are better things for comparison. Otherwise, I love your concentration series and the strength of your images!
